Campus fasts for Holy Month

The Muslim Student Association had their second annual Fast-a-thon was held Friday October 5, 2007 in 040 of Kean Hall. This is the fifth annual Fast-a-thon for the national MSA. The Fast-a-thon is held for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. This is a religious holiday. (2) comments

When the lights go out, is an emotion stirring stage play presented by Alvin Moore, Jr., a senior mass communications major from Moss Point, Miss and a ordain minister. The play has an igniting plot about a family who struggles to overcome the hurdles of their past, while dealing with the obstacles of the present and wondering about the fate of their future. -A Oscar award winner Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner star in the latest Universal Studios movie thriller, The Kingdom. The story begins as FBI special agent Ronald Fleury (Foxx) is deployed to Saudi Arabia to investigate a terrorist attack. Garner plays Janet Mayes, who is apart of Fleury's investigative team and the FBI's forensic examiner. (0) comments

Keyshia Cole Just Like You-A Hip-hop soul princess Keyshia Cole is back at it for the second time with her latest album, Just Like You. In 2005, Cole made her debut with "I change my mind," which was the lead single on her album The Way It Is. Other songs that flew up the charts were, "I Should Have Cheated," "Love," "(I Just Want It) To Be Over" causing The Way It Is to reach platinum status. (0) comments

Eastside Story-A A New York City based vocalist releases a shining debut with all the makings of a classic album with, Eastside Story. The bi-racial beauty (she's black and white), rips it poetic and soulful on an album filled with danceable gems, introspective feel good music and intelligent mind-feeding tracks. (0) comments

For fans of the films ATL, Waiting to Exhale, Ali and even Holiday Heart, one actor among the many in the different casts, has managed to deliver memorable performances consistently. His name is Mykelti Williamson and in honor of the International Black Film Festival, he came to Nashville. (0) comments
