Ladies…it's that time of year, AGAIN. And if you're feeling a bit lonely due to the commercialized holiday, and the fact Cupid still has yet to hit you with his lover's arrow…have no fear.
There are options outside of crying because you had no one bring you a box of five dollar chocolates and a cliché card.
This Valentine's Day we as single ladies need to stop with moping, call up our girlfriends and have an evening of fun-ladies only!
Option #1- Pamper Yourself!
Get the all the i-cure's done (manicure & pedicure), a full-body massage, hair fly…the works. It's a known fact that when you look better, you feel better. Go ahead and get jazzy sistas!
Option #2- Can you say Waiting to Exhale?
Gather up the girls, pop in a "girlfriends favorite" flick, pull out the snacks and wine bottles and E-X-H-A-L-E.
Option #3- Celebrate Being Single!
Believe it or not, being single is underestimated. There are so many more things you can do when you're single, that you wouldn't be able to do if you were in a relationship-things such as going out whenever and with whomever you wish, and random trips to wherever your heart desires are just a few.
But ultimately, being single allows you to be independent. And independence is a must-have in today's society.
Also, after dealing with your friends' never ending relationship drama, you should be happy to be stress free relationship wise!
Ultimately, Valentine's Day is no different than any other day. As a matter of fact, it's just the local florists, Hallmark, and various candy company's way to make an extra dollar.
And although a majority of friends and family are occupied with "cupcaking" with their special someone, it is important that you celebrate the freedom that comes along with being single.
We, as women, need to learn to be ok with being by ourselves. Before we can expect for someone else to love us, it is important to love ourselves first.
I suggest trying some of the above listed options for getting through this holiday and ending in good spirits.
You'll probably realize that being single on Valentine's Day really isn't that bad.
Peace & Blessings.
