Beck to speak at TSU

TSU presents a lecture entitled "Southern Lynchings, Domestic Terrorism," sponsored by the Southern Sociology Society the lecture features featuring E.M. Beck.
Beck is a professor and former head of the sociology department at the University of Georgia. His research is on the political economy of racial violence in particular, the relationship between economic changes in the lower class and violence against African Americans.
The lecture will be held on Friday March 30, from 11:30- 1:00 p.m. in the Agricultural Information Technology Building (AIT C) located behind the barn.

Author to speak about Women's History
In celebration of Women's History month the department of history, geography and political science along with the Samuel Shannon series invite you to attend a lecture entitled Sisters: Heroines of Votes for Women.
Speaker Jean H. Baker from Goucher College is the author of the book entitled Sisters: The Lives of America's Suffragists. Baker's lecture will be held on Friday, March 23 at 12:30 p.m. in the Boswell chemistry auditorium.
South Indian music concert
The music department presents a concert of south Indian music. The concert will feature the Carnatica Brothers.
K.N. Shashikran and P. Ganesh will be featured on vocals, Nagai Sriram on violin and Tanjavur Murugabhoopati on mridangam. The concert will be held on Friday March 23; in the T. E. Poag Auditorium located the Humanities Building.
