TSU senior Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie continues to attract NFL recruiters' attention for having outstanding defensive games.

Most notably his performance in the Senior Bowl All-Star game played on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

Rodgers-Cromartie, a 6'2, 185 pound cornerback from Bradenton, Fla., recently decided to leave school and pursue his long time dream of playing in the NFL.

Rodgers-Cromartie recorded four solo tackles, an interception and pass break-up for the South team, who won the Senior Bowl with a score of 17-16.

He also received the Under Armour Prototype Award for the south.

"Im so happy about my game performance," Rodgers-Cromartie said. "The training and the hard work really showed itself when I was on the field."

Rodgers-Cromartie finished the season with the Tigers earning All-American honors this past season after recording 37 tackles, 11 pass break-ups and two interceptions, for which he returned for touchdowns.

Rogers-Cromartie was also the team's leading returning tackler for the 007 season with 47 including 2.0 TFL and 12 passes, leading the conference with six interceptions and is tied for third nationally.

"I feel so blessed for all the accomplishments I am making,"
Rodgers-Cromartie said. "I am confident that if I continue to work hard on the field and train well, everything will come out in my favor."

As Rodgers-Cromartie continues to shine on the field, the attention will continue to rise as he is considered as a possible first-round NFL draft pick by many NFL recruiters.

Rogers-Cromartie will also be participating in the NFL Combine on Feb. 20-26 in Indianapolis.

If Rodgers-Cromartie plays as well as he did in the Senior Bowl, watch out TSU because Rogers-Cromartie could definitely enter this year's NFL Draft as a first-round candidate.

Teammate Cecil Newton said he was very proud of Rodgers-Cromartie: "I am so proud of his accomplishments because I think its a good thing for an athlete to get that type for attention from the NFL, especially coming from a Division 1 school." •
