Queen Washington Health Center, along with Suntrust Bank, TSU's Women's Center and the University Honor's Program held Project Hope, an effort to inform students about the effects of HIV, Thursday, Sept. 4 at the Avon Williams campus.

"Quite a few students came," said Stephanie Bundle, coordinator for the Women's Center.

Project Hope will be held every third Thursday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Queen Washington located on the west end of campus next to Edna R. Hankal Hall.

HIV testing will be conducted with month swabs and preventative measures and information will be passed out to students.

There will be a table set up this Wednesday in the Floyd Payne Campus Center as well as every third Wednesday of the month to remind about the available testing and to inform students about the dangers of HIV and AIDS.

The Women's Center will also host a Conversation About HIV in Merle R. Eppse Hall later this month.

For more information, contact the Queen Washington Health Center at ext. 5291 or the Women's Center at ext. 4881 or via e-mail at womenscenter@tnstate.edu.•
