When sitting down to write my farewell, I could only think of one quote that changed me, my situation on how I became Vice President, and what this whole school year felt like in general.
That phrase is Carpe Diem the Latin phrase that means, "Seize the Day."

It is with that phrase that I was able to run for Vice President and continue in the position when people didn t believe in Warren and myself.

With my position I learned a lot of things, too many to share but I would like to highlight three things that I feel is important for the student body to know.

• When you run for a position, run because you want to make the student body and university better.

Regardless if you are trying to be greek affliated, DO THE JOB! At the end of the day it will be in vain if you don t and it will discredit you as a person.

• Organizations please SHOW UP AND SHOW OUT! The SGA President and Vice President are the blood vessels but the organizations are the heart. Without you all, the school s drive to excel won t move and will continue to be stagnant.

Believe in what your organization stands for and act on it to make TSU bigger and better, than how it was when you came in.

• Student GET INVOLVED, the only way to change things you don't like is to change them yourself.

The SGA is a body, but without the students being our eyes and ears, we wont know the issues we need to tackle. To the New SGA House of Delegates be strong, be resilient, and be approachable.

Welcome people with open arms and believe in your leaders, too many chiefs can make a tribe defeat themselves before the war even starts.

Goodluck next year and I know the 2010-2011 school year will have the Big Blue Pride that we all know and love. My heart will forever run BLUE, thanks for the experience TSU!•
